Art & Textiles Selling Fair 21st & 22nd June At Head Of Steam Railway Museum, Darlington

So only 4 more sleeps before a lovely little event takes place at The Head Of Steam Railway Museum. Along with my 'Freepass' Solo exhibition there will be an Art & Textiles Selling Fair!

I am delighted to say that there will be a great mix of local artists & designers for the whole weekend and a great opportunity to chat to them about their work. We have Fine & Contemporary Art from Pam Morton, June Chetcuti, Jenny Ullyat, Colin Cook, Ken Clarke & Jen Wyse. Textiles from me, Charity & Gloria, and Sheila, and then we have two ceramicists-Lindsey Starborn and Meg Ashley.

Dugdale Bros.

Dugdale Bros & Co. are in Yorkshire and sell the most amazing cloth and apparel for tailoring....and why am I writing about them....because in this crazy industry when you find a gem...you have to tell everyone...

Dugdale Bros Ltd

Last year I visited the Bowes Museum for the Henry Poole Savile Row exhibition and if you didn't go you missed a fantastic exhibition-it would have given the V&A a run for its money! You could touch the cloth-see up close and personal the exquisite tailoring and more importantly-I managed to get in 'The Cube' at the museum-which is a rare opportunity!

It was at the preview that I got chatting to 'Geoff Wheeler' London Office...and what a pleasant surprise-he was human...and chatty...and full of information...

One of my questions was 'As an independent it is difficult to buy small lengths of good quality cloth' and it turns out they are very supportive of independent and small business's...I now get regular updates on the most amazing cloth at the most amazing price...you will have to do a little bit of homework to find out how...I'm not giving all my secrets away...!

So me being me...thought...wonder if they would mind being part of my little exhibition...and as you can see they said yes!

And thank you to Dugdale Bros for supporting the little people!
